Monforton School Foundation is happy to share that the following grant awards were approved this month and earlier this summer:
Experiential Learning Awards
$608.80 for the third grade field trip to Gallatin History Museum and Sunset Hills Cemetery. On this trip students will learn about historic landmarks around downtown Bozeman.
Major & Minor Grant Awards
Major Grant Awards
$1100.00 for the second grade field trip to the Bridger Nature Center. On this field trip students will learn about how Montana plants and animals in the forest are interdependent. Students will identify plants and learn about what they need to survive. They will also learn about challenges to Montana forests, specifically why white bark pine trees are dying and methods being used to help their survival.
Minor Grant Awards
$188.97 for Mrs. Staker’s 2nd grade classroom to purchase flexible seating – bucket seats and wobble cushions. These seating options help children who require more movement throughout the day to stay engaged in classroom learning for longer periods of time and to have more ownership over their learning.
