Experiential Learning Awards
$250 to fund bus fees for the 6th grade classes to visit Cross Cut Mountain Sports for cross country skiing and to learn about the water cycle.
$652.32 to fund bus fees for the fourth grade students for a winter ecology program including cross country skiing and analyzing skeletal advantages of different body types through the snow. Each fourth grade class will attend this field trip on different days, so four buses are needed.
Major and Minor Grant Awards
Minor Grants
$348 for the purchase of physical Breakout EDU kits. Breakout EDU is an educational, game-based learning platform in which students solve escape-room type challenges. These kits will benefit 3rd-8th grade students in the Enrichment and Gifted and Talented Programs.
Major Grant Awards
$525 for the purchase of Country Book Shelf gift cards as rewards for classroom participation for Read Across America Week. Each elementary classroom will receive a $25 gift card to help add to their classroom library collections. New materials in the classrooms will help to generate interest in reading.
